TANGLED WING WILDCARE CONSERVANCY
Our History is wildlife
Tangled Wing began in Winston-Salem, NC with a neonate squirrel and three European Starling nestlings. A heating pad, tweezers, feeding syringe and lots of paper towels made up our rehab supplies.
In 2005, Tangled Wing Wildcare Conservancy was licensed in Sumner County, TN and opened at an old vet clinic in Gallatin, thanks to Bryan Bonderant, DVM at Critter Clinic.
On June 23rd, 2005 we moved into our new center at 225 Nichols Lane in Gallatin, TN.
The dedication to wildlife and the need for wildlife conservation in the area prompted the collaboration of the TWWC Board of Directors and Advisors and Kitty Dake Armstrong, owner of the property, to move the Conservancy to a more natural, open setting.

Beyond Conservation
There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before.
