So, you found a baby animal or injured animal . . .

If the baby is on the ground and doesn't try or is unable to run away from your approach; using gloves, place it is a small container with paper towel bedding.
Put the container in a quiet, warm place and call us. Please don't feed or water.
If you find an injured animal, gently place a box over it so that it feels safe. Again, don't feed or water.
Call your veterinarian or Tangled Wing Wildcare to help you decide what to do next.
Never risk harm to yourself or to the animal that you are trying to help. Remember that stress is deadly to wild animals that are already compromised by being out of their element or injured.
Despite our compassion and ethical intentions, an animal doesn't understand that you are rescuing it.
If TWWC is unable to help with a particular animal or question, we will help you find someone who can.

Care fot Nature
For if one link in nature's chain might be lost, another might be lost, until the whole of things will vanish by piecemeal.
Thomas Jefferson

"It is not enough to understand the natural world; the point is to defend and preserve it.
